I hold my Lessons like you may know it from typical Music-Schools in Switzerland or Europe. This means:

• Intensive One-to-One-Lessons are preferred. This way, you will advance very fast.
• I carefully guide you through all the difficulty levels, from an absolute beginner to being a master.
• I will answer any Questions you may have.
• I will assign homework to you and supply you with Notations, Audio- and Video-Recordings.
• I expect you to practice regularly. This is the most important aspect of learning any Instrument.
• While considering the usual Copyright Laws in your country, you are free to perform and teach anything you learned from me. I even ask you to do so - Only like this, Music stays alive.
• I regularly take lessons myself to advance - Learning is a livelong path.

To get to know each other and for me to learn what fascinates you about Shamisen, I offer you a free Trial Lesson.

One-to-One Lessons are the best method to learn the Shamisen and it's many specifics correctly. I offer you Single Lessons or Pre-Paid Subscriptions, which save you some money.

I also offer Group Lessons with 2 to a maximum of 4 participants. In Group Lessons, you have to share the lesson time - but there are also nice advantages: The lesson prices per Person are way more affordable and you experience how the Tsugaru Shamisen is played in a group - a truly unique experience!

In the Training Sessions, you meet with the other students to practice the songs you have learned in my lessons. Playing shamisen together is the most fun!

I am also there and participate, but I will not teach during the Training Session. The Session takes place on the last Saturday of each month from 10:00 to 12:00 (optional: lunch-break and more playing afterwards!).

The lessons take place at the Integrale Tagesschule Winterthur (ITW). It is located at Nelkenstrasse 1 in 8400 Winterthur.

As there is school operation during the day and also due to my main professional activity, it is usually possible to schedule sessions in the evenings and weekends. However, individual solutions can be found!
